Fernando Alonso Tribute 2005-2007
It was a troubled year for Alonso at the wrong team, which had other intentions and agendas with designs to please the UK media and their fair weather fans. Also to appease certain elements within F1 who wanted to the next "intrigue factor" that made people think it's something attractive and different. McLaren sought to achieve this goal by milking the publicity and attraction that can be gained through the British gutter press and the average Joe in the UK, by creating an illusion out of a rookie who's skin color as being black can be utilized as a potential cash cow to rake up the ratings for F1, the marketing success in business and over all glamor (which is what Ron Dennis craves). They nearly succeeded in doing that but someone forgot to tell Alonso to follow the script and when he realized what was going on with his tyres his fuel strategies and dubious practices within McLaren's working policy right from the start of the season, Alonso was at war with not only his teammate but also his own team. A team which showed no concern for one of their own drivers after a heavy crash for Alonso in Japan 2007. But this didn't stop Alonso from doing what he does best on track no matter how much McLaren favored Hamilton and crippled Alonso's car or his race strategies. Through amazing levels of problems for Alonso's tyres which McLaren acknowledges but puts down to 'bad luck', when Hamilton faces surprisingly very few problems. And various mechanical and electrical problems which only Alonso had at the most crucial moments in the season. Go figure. The last two races clearly showed despite the title being a mere formality, when it all counts on talent, cool headedness and real skill, Hamilton was no better than a walnut, cooking up his tyres in china when Kimi and Alonso where biding their time and in Brazil trying to show off after being beaten by Alonso on the start, sulking away afterwards. Had McLaren shown the real support that is expected of them in the least, let alone number 1 status which Alonso never needs, they would have had the title wrapped ages ago. Inspite of all the hardships Alonso finished on the same number of points as their phony pretender wonder kid. That shows just how valuless Hamilton is, given that the level of support, bias within that team and the fast MP4-22 even Ralf Schumacher might win that title. And in all this commotion Kimi comes through to deliver the goods for Ferrari, he is a very deserving champion, he has won the most number of GPs in 2007 and he has also been the undisputed fastest man in the 2nd half of the season. McLaren only 'talks' of equality; their words are hitting deaf ears in the general public. It may sound as 'logical' only to the British and other Hamilton fans that see the world through their Hamilton glasses. The numerous regulation breaches and Hamilton's gifts from the FIA to walk away free from any penalty is a clear sign of another cartel at work to ensure that he had an easy ride to the title. But unfortunately for them things didn't work out. ;) And us true fans of the sport got to see Kimi Raikkonen take that coveted title, and rightly so! Alonso left McLaren after a tremendous drive given the difficulties he had to face at McLaren. McLaren merely brought in Alonso to milk his worth on technical feedbacks for the engineers to develop the car so they could foster and feed their favored driver Hamilton. Alonso was fed up when he saw his efforts and not being rewarded with at least real "equality" within the team, hence he ratted McLaren out and exposed them including himself as being intimately involved the Ferrari-McLaren spyrow. If the team doesn't wish to back him up why should he cover for such team up? In all honesty he played long in the scandal thinking he has the full backing of the team he signed for, but showing loyalty to such backstabbers is never worth it. And at Hungary with the Hamilton clan's antics and the teams behavior, Alonso simply had it, it was time to screw back by just as much. Now with Alonso gone from McLaren the exploitation is short lived for McLaren. And its great news for not only for Alonso fans but also for fair and unbiased F1 fans around the world. Some of the races like he European GP just leaves us astounded wondering what a great double world champion he is and some of his overtaking moves on Hamilton and Nick in the 2007 have got 'world champion' written all over it.

Diagnosis -- East Meets West
There exist plenty of differences between Chinese and Western medicines. In this video, we focus in the area of diagnosis. Holistic versus mechanical There is a big difference in both philosophy and approach. Ancient Chinese folk medicine is holistic, based on the interconnections between health, life, and nature. It has not changed much since the early days. Chinese medicine is essentially Chinese cultural thinking and practice. As such, it contains all kinds of cultural myths and abstractions. One example is the oft-quoted balance between Yin and Yang. This diagnosis is so abstract that it can explain almost anything that can go wrong with the body. Western medicine, like all others, started out as an herbal folk medicine until the early 1900s when it began to incorporate scientific discoveries and methods. Nowadays, Western medicine is heavy in technology and high in costs. It has developed into many specialties with isolated focus on the mechanics of the human body and disease propagation. Western medicine has become a scientific discipline full of technical terminology and myths. Very often we hear people using technical terms to describe an illness to show that they are knowledgeable. Human judgment versus machine test Chinese medicine relies on the age-old method of diagnosis consisting of four steps: observe, listen, question, and pulse read 「望聞問切」.This requires human judgment on the part of the physician regarding the conditions of the patient. Western medicine relies less and less on human judgment. Instead, various machine tests have been developed to measure the conditions of the patient. When you go for a physical exam, the doctor mostly interprets the test results without having to observe, listen or question about your conditions. As a result, you have a problem if the machine says so. Benefits from Western diagnosis It's not difficult to see that both Chinese and Western medicines have their own strong and weak points. In this video, I wish to discus how Chinese medicine can benefit from the technological advances in Western diagnosis. Since blood test is not an invention of Chinese diagnostic methods, Chinese medicine has to borrow blood diagnostics from the West to monitor various problems such as: high cholesterol, blood sugar, cancer, AIDS, and certain infections and deficiencies in the blood. Once a condition is confirmed, the Chinese herbalist has to find a way to connect the condition to the herbs so that he can prescribe them. Likewise, scientific tools like microscopes and X-rays are not a Chinese invention. It is not Chinese diagnosis to focus on the micro, chemical, or mechanical aspects of a problem such as germs, virus, blood cells, enzymes, specific toxins, vitamins, heart valves, stomach walls, acidity, etc. When a Chinese herbalist talks about those things, you'll know that he is borrowing from the West. Ultimately, he has to show that he can connect the problems to the herbs to be prescribed. Not all illnesses require a blood test or an X-ray to diagnose. Neither do they require a micro, chemical, or mechanical explanation. In fact, most common illnesses can be observed or by asking the patient how he feels. Examples are: fever, joint pains, menstrual irregularities, anxiety, sleeplessness, allergies, infertility, digestive disorder, skin sensitivity, and so on.
